Nesting Die Tutorial

Hello! I'm here today to share a fun way to use the Stacker Nesting Dies and the Silver Stacker Layers from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Here you can see the cutting edge of the Classic Coved Rectangle Stacker Nesting Die.

To create the base of the card, I placed my folded piece of cardstock on the die with the folded edge next to NOT OVER the cutting edge. By keeping the fold inside the cutting edge I am able to keep my cardstock in one shaped piece! I avoided any shifting of the cardstock by taping the cardstock to the die.

To create the frame, I used two similar sizes of the Classic Coved Rectangle Silver Stacker Dies. These dies have fabulous marking in the center of the die which are in incredible help in aligning the dies. Just match them up and away you go! Once I had mine aligned, I taped them to the cardstock to prevent shifting while I cut.
Tadaaa!!!

For fun and texture, I added the Lattice #2 to the backside of the frame and trimmed off the excess before adhering the full piece to my card. I added texture and ambiance to the card with the Petite Hearts XL Embossing Plate. The Anastasia Border added the prefect amount of elegance to dress it up. The rose and leaves were cut using the Build a Flower #2 die. Darling Daisies are the prefect accent flower. With Olive Branches and a Mini Fanciful Flourish tucked in. Also added is the smallest of the Two of Hearts, and a mini Exotic Butterfly.

Sweet Memories

Hello!  I'm here with a 12x12 layout of my baby and my mom for Cheery Lynn Designs! One of my favorite photos of the two of them together!
I started by cutting the Francesca border to fit around the edge of the block. I layered it with the Chicken Wire Frame to add a masculine texture. Tucked behind the photos are the Tiffany Border and Border Carnivale.

I cut three layers of Stacker Flower #4 and topped it with flower centers from Build a Flower Embellishment #2. I added the Mini Fanciful Flourish and dressed it up with Miniature Roses and flowers from Build a Flower Embellishment #2. The leaves are from Build a Flower #2.
To create this little cluster, I started with the smallest of the Inverted Scallop Circle Stacker set. The scallopy edge of the Bunny and Chick Border dress up the banners. Using foam adhesive for dimension, I added Sentiment Frame #1. The sunburst is actually a flower center from Build a Flower Embellishment #1.

Love You

Hello! Jodi here with a 5½ x 5½ card for Cheery Lynn Designs.

The base was created using the largest of the Scalloped French Flair Nesting Die set, layered with the Classic French Flair Silver Stacker set. The delicacy of the Polynesian Sails Oval doily sets the tone for the card.

Using foam adhesive, I added a layer from the Scalloped Oval Nesting Die set as the background for my sentiment, Lace Script Lower Case. For a bit of fun, I replaced the “o” in love with the smaller heart from Two of Heart set. Other dies used: Sentiment Frame #1; Build a Flower Embellishment #2; Flourish Leaf Strip; Mini Dimensional Butterflies

Here you can see the difference a little dimension can make!

Thank You card

Hello! I'm here with a card for Cheery Lynn Designs, featuring the new Thank You sentiment!

The base of the card is cut using the Scalloped Oval Stacker Nesting Die, layered with the Classic Oval Silver Stacker. To create the sentiment block, I cut the teal cardstock using the second smallest of the Scalloped Oval Stackers. Using a smaller Classic Oval Silver Stacker, I removed the center of the teal cardstock and layered the backside with vellum for a softer look. I placed a white Celtic Heart atop the vellum for a softer look. Next, the new Thank You sentiment in hot pink to stand out! Lastly, the beautiful new Lace Hummingbird rests atop the sentiment. The English Tea Party Doily is tucked in behind the sentiment block adding elegance.

Petals from the Build a Flower #2 were used to create the buds. Foliage from Build a Flower Embellishment #2 were used to complete the bud, as well as the small white flowers and Baby‘s Breath. Other foliage from Mini Fanciful Flourish, Small Leaves 2, and Flourish Leaf Strip.

Now,  on with business!  A 12x12 layout for Cheery Lynn Designs.

I pieced the Francesca border around the outer edges for a feminine flair. Scalloped French Flair Nesting Stacker, layered with the Classic French Flair Silver Stacker created the prefect background behind my photo. Using foam adhesive, I placed a sticker atop a diecut from Sentiment Frame #1 for my title.

A close-up of the flowers bouquet. Have you checked out the new flower and embellishment dies?! Such a variety of options on one die…easy storage, easy cut, and economical! I’ve used the Build a Flower #2 to create the pink rose, and add leaves to the bouquet. Build a Flower Embellishment #2 was used to create flower centers for the white and yellow Sweet Williams flowers, as well as create the Baby’s Breath, and the little red and blue flowers you see scattered about. Fanciful Flourish completes the ensemble, along with Stacker Flower #1 leaves tucked. Lace Hummingbird flutters gently above.

Layers of borders are a fun way to add delicacy and pizzazz to your projects. I’ve chosen a combination of Queen Anne’s Lace, Border Carnivale, and Tangled Hearts.
